STORY & PHOTOS:

"The Last Song", the 2010 romantic tearjerker starring former sweethearts Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth, was filmed primarily on Tybee Island near Savannah, GA. Tybee is about half an hour outside of Savannah, and features a beach and pier that were featured prominently in the film.

In the movie, Ronnie (Miley Cyrus) is staying with her father (Greg Kinnear) and her brother Jonah (Bobby Coleman), who are working on building a stained glass window for the local church that burned down and is being rebuilt. The actual church was built specifically for the film, and shows up several times:

At the end of the film, we see the church restored with the stained-glass window in place, and it's where the funeral at the end is held.

After filming wrapped, the church was moved to Highway 80 and additions were made, and it now stands as the Tybee Wedding Chapel. It's pretty gorgeous, and I'm sure a lot of beautiful weddings take place there:
