Niagara Falls from "The Office", "Fever Pitch", and "Tammy"
LOCATION:
Niagara Falls, national landmark and the site of Jim and Pam's wedding on "The Office", as well as a date between Lindsey and Ben in "Fever Pitch". It was also the backdrop for the short-lived series "Wonderfalls".
ADDRESS:
Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls, NY
STORY & PHOTOS:
Niagara Falls is not only the oldest state park in the United States and a major tourist attraction, it's also been used as a filming location in various TV shows and films. Full disclosure: I've been to Niagara Falls twice and expected it to be "meh", but I loved it. It's genuinely majestic.
In "Fever Pitch", Ben (Jimmy Fallon) and Lindsey (Drew Barrymore) visit Niagara Falls when their relationship is in an upswing (before the Sox start losing and making their romance road a little rougher). In true Fallon/Barrymore fashion, they act reeeeal cute:
Ben and Lindsey are at Prospect Point in this "Fever Pitch" scene. This is the primary spot from which to check out the American Falls. This area also popped up in 2014's "Tammy". It's where Tammy (Melissa McCarthy), Pearl (Susan Sarandon), Lenore (Kathy Bates), Susanne (Sandra Oh) celebrate at the film's conclusion.
(They also show off the Cave of the Winds tour; it's where we see the ladies dancing around in the intense spray from the Falls. It's also where Bobby (Mark Duplass) shows up with Cheetos to surprise Tammy, and they kiss.)
Here are some of my photos from Prospect Point:
Another time Niagara was used romantically was on "The Office". (I'm seriously getting emotional just thinking about it.) It's where Jim and Pam got married in the two-part sixth-season episode "Niagara" (written by my fantasy best friend Mindy Kaling).
In the episode, Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam (Jenna Fischer) sweetly sneak off to get married on the Maid of the Mist boat tour. If you want to get married at Niagara Falls, too, you can! Check out the wedding and honeymoon information.
Niagara Falls, of course, also served as the backdrop for Bryan Fuller's fanciful but short-lived series "Wonderfalls".
