STORY & PHOTOS:
"True Blood" is set in the south (Bon Temps, Louisiana, to be specific) and occasionally the show needs southern-style mansions as filming locations. One place in Los Angeles (where the show is filmed) where that kind of grandeur exists is in the Hancock Park neighborhood, which is where you'll find the mansion that stands in for the Bellefleur's in the show's fourth season.
In "I'm Alive and On Fire", Bill (Stephen Moyer) goes to the Bellefleur mansion, where Portia (Courtney Ford) introduces him to her grandmother. Bill and Caroline (Katherine Helmond) go through a family tree and Bill realizes that Portia is his great-great-great-great-granddaughter, prompting him to flee.
The house in real life looks virtually identical to its TV self:
If you saw the house with none of its surrounding context, you'd never know it was in Southern California and not down South!
