STORY & PHOTOS
Pawnee City Hall is the heart of NBC's "Parks and Recreation" -- it's where Leslie Knope and co. go about their daily antics and make the world a better place, a little bit at a time.
I've always thought Pawnee City Hall looked a little nice and majestic for a tiny Indiana town where everyone hates salads. And the real building is extremely nice: it's the Pasadena City Hall in Pasadena, CA. (On the show we only see about a third of the building, and it's easy to understand why. I doubt they could convince anyone that this full structure really exists in a podunk Indiana town!)
It's in a beautifully manicured area of Pasadena, near the police department and the public library. Through the main archway of City Hall is a gorgeous courtyard with a fountain in the center.
I can't believe that people actually work here; it's such a beautiful and peaceful little site. Must be nice! I wonder if there are any grumpy Ron Swansons in the building though...
