ABC's "Modern Family" is one of the biggest TV hits of the the past couple of years. Since the show is set in Southern California, many of the filming locations are real places and easy to visit.
In "Coal Digger", Luke and Manny get in trouble for fighting at school, so Claire (Julie Bowen), Phil (Ty Burrell), Gloria (Sofia Vergara), and Jay (Ed O'Neill) get called in to deal with it. Turns out Luke told Manny that his mom, Gloria, was a "coal digger" -- he'd overheard Claire call her a gold digger. Whoops!
