Mallory's Streaming Recommendations

Netflix: Gossip Girl. Mallory absolutely hates being eleven. She complains about it all the time. So she would obsessively watch Gossip Girl as a window into sophistication, drama, and all the perks of not being eleven. She would think she’s a budding Blair Waldorf, but we’d all know she’s really a Jenny Humphrey.

Hulu: Bob’s Burgers. Who knows better than Mallory what it’s like to have a slightly insane but ultimately lovable family?

Disney+: Beauty and the Beast. Mallory loves books and reading and wants to be a children’s book author. She also yearns for a life beyond her redheaded, brace-face, glasses-wearing, eleven-year-old existence (aka “this provincial life”). Belle is definitely Mal’s favorite Disney princess (despite Ariel’s red hair).

HBO: Big Little Lies. A TV show based on a book club pick? Sign. Mal. Up.

CBS All Access: Stand By Me. Mallory wants to be an author, so her interest would be piqued by this story of friendship based on famous New Englander Stephen King’s novella.

Amazon Prime: Awkward. Basically a synonym for Mallory, you know?
