STORY & PHOTOS
Any die-hard "Clerks" fan has a trip to Leonardo, New Jersey's Quick Stop on their bucket list. It was the center of the action in the cult classic, as well as the former workplace of "Clerks" brainchild Kevin Smith.
The exterior also made a brief appearance in another Kevin Smith movie, "Chasing Amy":
And the Quick Stop popped up again in "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back", where we see the notorious duo's origin story, beginning in a 1970s flashback:
My friend Alex and I did a Kevin Smith-themed road trip through New Jersey and this was, of course, one of our top destinations.
"Clerks" used the interior of the Quick Stop as well as the exterior. Smith actually worked at the Quick Stop and the video store, and was allowed to film the movie inside while the store was closed. Can't imagine he got much sleep during that time, working all day and filming all night.
"Jay and Silent Bob" also used a few interior shots of the Quick Stop at the beginning of its story:
