Filmmaker Kevin Smith is a New Jersey native and when he makes movies he keeps close to home. His cult classic "Chasing Amy" was filmed partially in his home town of Red Bank.
In "Chasing Amy", Holden and Banky live in an apartment above Jack's Music Shoppe.
There were also scenes shot inside the store and on its front steps.
Jack's Music Shoppe is just down the street from Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash, the comic book shop owned by Kevin Smith and the setting for the reality show "Comic Book Men".
