STORY & PHOTOS:
Since 'Hart of Dixie' films on the Warner Brothers Studio lot, the production can turn almost any little corner of the lot into a filming location as needed. For example, in episode 103, "Gumbo and Glory", George sneaks Zoe away to a farmer's market so she can buy some fresh produce to make gumbo for the cook-off.
Instead of filming at an actual farmer's market, it's so much easier for the producers to just set up a few tables full of produce and rig up a sign in the jungle section of the Warner Brothers backlot. In fact, this market is supposed to be miles out of town but in reality the Rammer Jammer and Wade's cabin are only a few hundred feet away.
(The barn in which Zoe helps the injured man is actually the barn right next to the Rammer Jammer, as seen above.) Here's what the jungle area looks like without the farmer's market set up:
It looks like they used the same area in "The Undead and the Unsaid", where Zoe hits someone with her car - someone who has been "dead" for a year!
Warner Brothers is the only studio with a jungle backlot in the Los Angeles area, so plenty of productions (including "Jurassic Park") have filmed on this little stretch. This is in the same area where the deer hit Rory's car on "Gilmore Girls" as well.
For a peek at this jungle area that housed the farmer's market, you can take a tour of the Warner Brothers studio!
