STORY & PHOTOS
HBO's series "The Jinx" chronicles the strange and fascinating life of Robert Durst, a real estate heir and suspected (but acquitted) murderer. In its third episode, "The Gangster's Daughter", the series delves into the death of Susan Berman, one of Durst's friends and the daughter of a Vegas mobster named Davie Berman. Friends of Durst's missing (and presumed dead) wife Kathie believed that Berman knew what happened to Kathie. When police reopened the investigation into Kathie's disappearance, they planned to talk to Berman. But somebody got to her first -- Berman was shot dead in her Beverly Hills home on Christmas Eve of 2000. Many suspect Durst had something to do with her death. And, in fact, on March 14, 2015, he was arrested for her murder.
The home where Berman lived and was killed is located on Benedict Canyon Drive in Beverly Hills. It was briefly featured on the third episode of "The Jinx":
