STORY & PHOTOS
If you're a fan of funnyman Craig Ferguson and the "Late Late Show", you should check out the spots from his opening sequence should you ever find yourself in Los Angeles.
First, re-watch the opening sequence to familiarize yourself with Craig's trip through LA:
Now take a peek at all the spots you can easily visit:
The very first shot is of the famous Griffith Observatory. This is a must-visit; it's a historic with a gorgeous view of the city and a great angle for taking pictures of the Hollywood sign.
Griffith Observatory is also a major filming location for both movies and television.
Moments later you see Craig cruise by the Hollywood Guinness Museum on Hollywood Boulevard.
Then Craig hits up Pink's Famous Hot Dogs, a Hollywood landmark:
Pink's has also appeared on-screen in "Entourage.”
The always-beautiful Santa Monica Pier makes a quick appearance...
...as does The Comedy Store, until Craig sets up shop at The Grove. The Grove, a gorgeous outdoor shopping center adjacent to the Farmer's Market, is quite literally around the corner from the CBS studio where "LLS" tapes each day. (Whenever I go to "Late Late Show" tapings, I park at The Grove.)
The tower, fountain, and little gas station setup can all be found at The Grove:
The Grove is a filming location in its own right, too.
