My friend Alex and I recently took a "Hocus Pocus" trip to Salem, MA (I wrote about Max and Dani's house yesterday). High on our list was snapping photos in front of the gorgeous home seen as Allison's in the movie. The historic Ropes Mansion in Salem stood in for the exterior of Allison's house, where Max (Omri Katz) takes Dani (Thora Birch) trick-or-treating:
As far as I know, only the exterior of the Ropes Mansion was used in the film; however, the 18th-century building is open for tours, so you can by all means pop in and take a look around! We posed in front of the house while gallivanting around Salem:
