STORY & PHOTOS:
In episode 105, "Faith and Infidelity", Zoe is trying to get her screen fixed in downtown Bluebell, but no one is around and none of the stores are open. It takes her a minute to realize that it's Sunday, and literally the entire town (except her, Wade, and Burt Reynolds) is at church.
Zoe awkwardly bursts into church in her pajamas, and everyone stares at her while she tries to use her humor to extract herself from the situation. Classic Zoe!
The church, like the rest of downtown Bluebell, is actually part of the midwest town square section of the Warner Brothers backlot in Burbank, CA. In fact, the church appears in the background of most of the downtown Bluebell or town square shots.
You can get a good look at the church when you take the Warner Brothers VIP or Deluxe Tour. The town square is usually a feature on the tour (unless it's being used for filming) and I've visited that area almost every time I've taken the WB tour.
It's the same church that you see on "Pretty Little Liars" - it's even where Ian died in Season 1 - and you've definitely seen it in the background of "Gilmore Girls".
